Our Story
How It All Started
In 1992, three couples and their families felt the Father leading them to establish a New Testament work in the Durham Region. The three couples were close friends and had many years of walking in leadership roles.
They felt their role as a church would be the advancement of the Kingdom of God as seen in Ephesians 4:11-13. God answered their prayers and through a prophetic word established the work called Durham Christian Fellowship. It was impressed upon them that this local body would reach into the heart of the Durham Region.
They began meeting regularly with Salt and Light Ministries providing oversight.
Two of the attributes of the Kingdom which they built on were relationship and honour one with another. Their hearts were to see the apostolic and prophetic flourish in the Durham Region based upon Kingdom principles.
